SimpleGames (simplegames.ie) is the data controller for personal data collected through this platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection law.

2. What Data We Collect
Account data
Email address, display name, and profile photo (if you sign in with Google). Required to create and manage your account.
Game progress data
Games played, scores, streaks, and content IDs of completed rounds. Stored to track your progress across sessions.
Usage data
Pages visited, time spent, device type, browser, and IP address. Collected via Firebase Analytics to improve the service.
Payment data
If you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store card details — only subscription status and billing history.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
- Contract — processing your account and subscription data to provide the service.
- Legitimate interests — analysing usage to improve games and detect fraud.
- Consent — optional analytics cookies (you may withdraw at any time).
- Legal obligation — retaining transaction records as required by Irish tax law.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and maintain your account.
- To save and display your game progress and streaks.
- To process subscription payments and send receipts.
- To send transactional emails (magic login links, billing notices).
- To analyse aggregate usage patterns and improve the platform.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Third-Party Services
Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, hosting. Data stored in EU (eur3 region). Firebase Privacy

Google OAuth — sign-in with Google. Subject to Google Privacy Policy.
6. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Game progress is retained until you delete your account.
- Transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by Irish law.
- Analytics data is retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default).
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your account and data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — request we limit processing of your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — for any processing based on consent (e.g. analytics cookies).
To exercise these rights, email contact@consultqualia.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland).
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, Firebase security rules, and restricted admin access. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you and the Data Protection Commission as required by law.
9. Children
SimpleGames is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. The latest version is always available at simplegames.ie/privacy.
